We help project teams identify and design out hazards early on - when changes to the designs are still possible without any major fabrication cost and schedule impact - rather than relying solely on procedural controls once a design is locked in place and fabrication has started.

• Provide Safety by Design reviews at key design stages based on the project delivery model (EPC/EPCI, multicontracting)
• Supporting Developers and Contractors in HAZID workshops, whether it will be pre-FEED, FEED or Basic/Detailed Design phases
• Supporting in design risk assessments
• Supporting on and developing of Risk register and management hereof
• ALARP demonstrations through cost-benefit and technical analysis
• Provide review of Safety documentation to ensure compliance with e.g. DNV suite of codes and standards and other specific regulatory requirements as needed

Why it matters

Hazards are far cheaper and safer to eliminate at the drawing board stage than to mitigate once fabrication is underway. A structured Safety by Design approach reduces risk to personnel and assets while also reducing costly late-stage design changes.
